About Us

The Gregory A Hastings Memorial Foundation Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization set up by his family in memory of Greg, who was a son, brother, father and friend. He also was a great football player, neighbor and alumni in the Windsor Central School District community, Windsor, New York. Greg was awarded a full football scholarship to college, but chose to join the Military and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.

Greg died tragically from a brain aneurysms at the age of 54, leaving behind his two daughters, his large family and many friends. He was a true family man and welcomed any and all into his life, this foundation has been set up to help Windsor School District students in the cost of tuition, room and board and/or rent, books, tools, certificates and other expenses in Greg’s memory.

Mission

A scholarship was established in 2019 by his family with the mission of raising money to award scholarships to two Seniors at Windsor Central School District in perpetuity. The scholarship assistance will be provided to individuals that display a sense of community and team spirit. The award also will take into consideration those that would benefit with this assistance and includes students who will be attending Community College, University, Trade School and the Military.
